Es a través del paisaje que se empieza a sentir una pulsión interna en la mirada al universo. Explorando las correspondencias simbólicas entre naturaleza y vida, concretamente entre el paisaje natural de las rocas, granito, totalmente perdurable y sólido, y la impermanencia vital de los seres vivos que lo habitan, indagando en los lazos que unen al hombre con su entorno primitivo. La serie fotográfica se compone de variados elementos, retratos, paisajes, pequeños detalles, tratando de crear un estado de ánimo y expresar mis propios sentimientos sobre el paso del tiempo y la fragilidad del mundo corporal tras el duelo de la pérdida de un familiar. Rostros y cuerpos que permanecen en las sombras entre el consciente y el subconsciente en un intento de tratarlo como inertes. El granito procede del interior de la tierra y tiene su origen en la solidificación del magma, ya modo de esqueleto cósmico, emerge desde las entrañas del planeta para formar la red articular que sostiene la vida orgánica. Me interesa el simbolismo de estas rocas signo de dureza y permanencia frente a los cambios biológicos de muerte y desintegración, busco la solidez, la unidad y la fuerza inorgánica frente la fugacidad y lo efímero de la vida orgánica, un cosmos de luto.
It is through the landscape that one begins to feel an inner urge to look at the universe. Exploring the symbolic correspondences between nature and life, specifically between the natural landscape of rocks, granite, totally enduring and solid, and the vital impermanence of the living beings that inhabit it, investigating the ties that bind man to his primitive environment. The photographic series is composed of various elements, portraits, landscapes, small details, trying to create a mood and express my own feelings about the passage of time and the fragility of the physical world after mourning the loss of a family member. Faces and bodies that remain in the shadows between the conscious and the subconscious in an attempt to treat them as inert. Granite comes from the interior of the earth and has its origin in the solidification of magma. Like a cosmic skeleton, it emerges from the bowels of the planet to form the joint network that sustains organic life. I am interested in the symbolism of these rocks, a sign of hardness and permanence in the face of the biological changes of death and disintegration. I seek solidity, unity and inorganic strength in the face of the transience and ephemerality of organic life, a cosmos in mourning.
